Carlisle Police Chief, Tim Boggess, who has been chief since 2004, has been placed on administrative leave with pay pending the outcome of a review. Boggess was relieved by City Manager Sherry Callahan effective on Thursday, February 4th for what is called the performance of his duties.Read more about the story in other media outlets..

Carlisle Mayor Tim Humphries pulled Republican primary petitions. In other petitions filed, Former Mason Mayor Tom Grossmann and Jason Faulkner of Franklin have pulled petitions for the Republican primary.Former Sheriff Tom Ariss is the only person who has filed petitions to run for the county commission seat that Mike Kilburn is leaving when he runs for R-2nd District, in the primary.
Last night City of Carlisle's City Council meeting, Law Director David Chicarelli was prepared to report on the findings on the Mayor's work computer that was confiscated back late last year. Instead, Council voted 4-3 to delay the report because it seems they were not notified that the report would be read in the open session of last night's City Council meeting. The vote also was cast to give Council and the Mayor time to prepare properly for the conclusion of the report.
The report has been delayed till the next City Council meeting on February 23rd.
